Van Lanschot appoints Willem van Oosten as head of Treasury

Van Lanschot has appointed Willem van Oosten as head of Treasury as of 1 March 2014. Before joining Van Lanschot, he worked for the Italian bank, Unicredit, as Head of Balance Sheet Risk Control, and most recently as Head of Group Interest Rate Risk Management.

Willem van Oosten (42) is an experienced finance professional with expertise in managing interest rate risk, liquidity, solvency, capital planning and covered bond programmes.

He worked for Unicredit since 2010. Before joining Unicredit, he was an investment strategist at ING Barings and Dutch pension fund PGGM and held various roles in Assets & Liability Management at ABN AMRO. In his new role, Willem van Oosten succeeds Erik Bongaerts.
