The Non-financial risk team is part of Group Risk management. NFRM is a second line function and we are responsible for facilitating the 1st line to get insight in their operational risks, level of control and enabling them to make risk based decisions. We do this by providing the 1st line with the tools needed to identify, assess and monitor their risk and controls, facilitate them in the use of those tools, challenge them on the outcomes and proposed decisions. Furthermore we consolidate the information to provide the senior management of VLK a view on the current state of the operational risk profile of the organization. By engaging in these activities NFRM support VLK in achieving its strategic goals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to further strengthen our team.
In this role you will be function as the 2nd line risk manager in change projects. This means that you will be responsible for creating a framework for managing risks in projects, facilitate the risk assessments of change projects and monitor the progress of mitigating actions. You will need to challenge the 1st line in the assessment of the risks and the feasibility of the mitigating actions.
A professional with experience in managing risks in projects who is able to have an overarching view and has sufficient IT and project methodology knowledge to challenge the first line. To be successful in this role you are a capable influencer, be organizationally sensitive and have strong analytical skills. It also requires a structured working method and ability to work independently. The function provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic organization with skilled professionals. It will enable you to work with the various parts of Van Lanschot Kempen and extend your skill set while working on complex projects.
Skills and experiences:
- Academic working level (Masters)
- 4 to 7 years work experience preferably in the financial sector
- Strong Analytical capabilities
- A capable stakeholder manager
- Experience in risk management in projects
- Good verbal and writing skills both in Dutch and English
- EU work permit is required
