Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management announces UK leadership transition
Amsterdam / London – 11 August 2025
Van Lanschot Kempen today announces that André Keijsers, CEO of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK), will transition to a Non-Executive Director role as of 1 September 2025 to pursue a new executive opportunity outside the fiduciary management industry. As a Non-Executive Director of the board of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK), the company will continue to benefit from his extensive knowledge and strong client relationships.
The company has begun a process to appoint a permanent successor to André, with the aim of further establishing the business as the ‘preferred provider’ brand in the UK market.
Johan Cras, currently Chairman of the Board of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK), will assume André’s responsibilities on an interim basis. He will ensure that clients continue to benefit from the high quality of service and investment performance for which the company is known. Johan has held several senior management positions within Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management. He led the UK team between 2016 and 2019, headed Wholesale and Institutional clients until 2022, and has served as Chairman of the board of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK) since then.
Erik van Houwelingen, Chair of the Management Board of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management, said: “We thank André for his years of executive service, during which he has successfully grown the UK business, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours. We are pleased that he will remain on our UK board. Johan brings with him nearly 10 years of experience with Van Lanschot Kempen and 15 years of institutional expertise in the UK, ensuring a seamless transition for both our clients and our people. Our focus remains on maintaining our high levels of client satisfaction and investment performance while continuing to execute our growth strategy.”
Johan Cras said: “I am delighted to step back into a leadership role within our UK business. I look forward to working closely with our talented UK team and André in his new non-executive role to ensure that our service to clients continues to go from strength to strength.”
André Keijsers added: “Stepping down from my executive role at Van Lanschot Kempen after six rewarding years was not a decision I took lightly. However, I leave behind an excellent team which will continue to deliver first-class client outcomes. I look forward to remaining part of this great company and staying connected to its clients in a non-executive capacity.”
André joined Van Lanschot Kempen in 2019 to lead its UK team, with a focus on expanding its presence, and strengthening its position in the UK fiduciary management market. He has played an instrumental role in shaping the firm’s UK business, building a strong team that is dedicated to delivering excellent service with a strong investment track record for its clients.
The appointment of Johan Cras is subject to regulatory approval.
