From apartments to offices and data centres, real estate accounts for nearly 40% of global CO2 emissions; more than any other sector. At the same time, real estate is central to the climate change discussion: where will we still be able to live and work safely?

Over the past years significant strides were have been made in decarbonising the real estate sector. However, there is still a major issue that is being widely ignored, as the Real Estate team of Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management highlights in the latest Sustainability in Action.
