Objective

We aim to generate attractive total returns over the longer term by investing in a high- conviction portfolio of listed infrastructure companies.

Philosophy

In our view, long-term trends around digitisation, urbanisation and the transition to a sustainable economy are accelerating the need for new infrastructure – for example, new airports, toll roads, data centres, pipelines and grids. We believe investing in select, listed companies operating these infrastructure assets can offer:

opportunities to capitalise on the sustainability transition;
an above-average income profile and lower volatility, relative to other equities, with the potential for additional capital growth; and
defensive characteristics in higher-inflation environments.

Approach

Our experienced team follows a disciplined process combining quantitative and qualitative capabilities designed to:

select listed infrastructure companies that offer an attractive risk/return ratio and opportunities for diversification. We also look at future opportunities for sustainability and use data to substantiate investment propositions;
optimise valuation entry and exit points through developed, data-rich modelling; and
construct portfolios based on aggregate currency weightings intended to neutralise macro factors, while focusing fully on stock-specific analysis and investing.
