Van Lanschot has appointed Wim Nieuwenhuijse as Commercial Director of Evi van Lanschot, its online investment coach for preserving and creating wealth.
Karl Guha, Chairman of Van Lanschot’s Executive Board, said: “Evi van Lanschot is our platform for the future. Since the launch of Evi in 2013 we’ve succeeded in sparking an interest in investing in many new clients – including relatively large numbers of young people. Digitisation is helping us to make our private banking know-how available to all. With Wim on board, we’re ready to take the next step in Evi´s development. His e-commerce knowledge and experience make him just the right person to enhance Evi´s commercial positioning and sales.”
In the spring of this year, Evi van Lanschot became an independent business unit within Van Lanschot and its now three-strong management team consists of Wim Nieuwenhuijse, Andries van Luijk, Director of Services and Development, and Monique Opdam, Director of Marketing.
Wim Nieuwenhuijse (1965) joins Van Lanschot from Unilever, where he was responsible for the digital development of food brands in Europe. He began his career at Philips Consumer Electronics, where he held various management positions in market research, marketing, sales and business development. He subsequently worked as a consultant for a number of international strategic consultancy firms. Between 2006 and 2010, he was responsible for client relations at Robeco Direct in Rotterdam.
