Palestinian singer and flutist Nai Barghouti was finally allowed to receive the Concertgebouw Young Talent Award on October 11, 2021, after the award ceremony was postponed in 2020 due to Covid-19.

The award was presented in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam by Richard Bruens, member of the Board of Directors of Van Lanschot Kempen, powered by Van Lanschot Kempen.

During this special evening, Simon Reinink, director of The Concertgebouw, also presented The Concertgebouw Prize to Wynton Marsalis, the American jazz trumpeter and a musical icon of the present.
