Van Lanschot Kempen is a specialist, independent wealth manager dedicated to the creation and preservation of your wealth.
Van Lanschot Kempen, a union of two specialised financial boutiques, is the oldest independent financial institution in the Netherlands.
For a combined four centuries, we have dedicated our financial craftsmanship to helping our clients achieve their goals. During that time, our Dutch trading spirit has led us and our clients through a stream of changes. And through all these changes, our clients’ ambitions have also changed and developed – for both the short and the long term.
We always see our way through changing times because we embrace them as an unpredictable yet powerful constant in our work and in our lives.
Responding to changes is deep within our DNA. That’s how we can continue to make a significant contribution to our clients’ personal, business and social goals.
And, by doing so, to the society in which we live together. We do this with responsibility and integrity, with an eye for our clients and other stakeholders. In this way we are shaped by the era that we, in turn, have helped to shape.
In short: two strong operating companies affiliated as one group with powerful historical value, heading confidently into the future.
What are the roles of our Statutory Board, Supervisory Board and Executive Committee?
Van Lanschot Kempen continuously reviews and enhances its corporate governance. How do we implement it?
Focus, simplicity and growth drive our strategy. Van Lanschot Kempen is a specialist and independent wealth manager.
In 1737 Cornelis van Lanschot laid the foundations for what was to become today’s listed wealth manager. Arines Kempen stood at the cradle of Kempen & Co in 1903. Van Lanschot Kempen is therefore the Netherlands’ oldest independent financial institution.
At Van Lanschot Kempen, we feel that art is a natural part of positioning our organisation and brand. Our art collection has decorated our offices since we were founded, and paintings, drawings and other artworks make our reception areas and our own offices special and attractive places to work. Supporting art, artists and museums is one way that we as a wealth manager can contribute to the preservation and creation of our cultural heritage. And so art is in our DNA. A rich tradition since 1737.
Van Lanschot Kempen has collected art since the day it was founded, but its art collection didn’t really take shape until the 19th century, when art lovers Godfried van Lanschot and his wife made key purchases that form the core of our collection to this day.
